Meet Dr. Bashoura

Oral Surgeon in Olathe, KS

Dr. Bashoura grew up in San Dimas, California and currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied Art History and Biology. He went on to complete dental school at USC, followed by medical school at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

He completed his residency at UMKC’s combined Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Truman Medical Center. During his training, he focused on pediatric and adult facial trauma surgery, dental extractions, and dental implants under anesthesia.

Dr. Bashoura has sat for and been certified by the National Dental Board, the United States Medical Licensing Examination Board, and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also maintains active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

He especially enjoys caring for pediatric and elderly patients, helping them overcome anxiety and managing special medical concerns to ensure they receive excellent and comfortable care. Dr. Bashoura enjoys all aspects of oral surgery—including dental extractions, dental implants, sedation, and teaching oral surgery residents.

Outside of work, he enjoys visiting the Kansas City Zoo and local art museums with his wife and best friend, Rita. His hobbies include building custom gaming computers, camping and wilderness survival, and cooking at home.
